My great-grandmother was Margaret Ann Watson (Ford) and her youngest daughter:
Dolina, was 7 when they both drowned in the Titanic, along with 8 other family
members. The eldest daughter Frances Mary (my grandmother)arrived here in the United States the previous year, and was waiting for their arrival.According to
a Watson family member, they were not expected to be on the Titanic. The coal strike threatened to delay the Titanics' maiden voyage, so coal was removed from
other ships, and passengers were transferred.
Margaret Anns' family was from Cromartie (nee McGregor)and lived in Bracadale before moving to Sussex, England. The name "Dolina" is so unusual, that I found
Shirley McRaes' comment intriguing and thought-provoking...I hope I hear from her.thankyou R

This is the grave of my Great grandparents, I knew the connection with Watsons but not MacRae or McMillan. Have been in touch with Jere in past about the Titanic link but lost contact unfortunately, would also like to hear from Shirley on the info she has too if possible? thanks.
