Hi Malcolm was my granddad - my dad Alasdair's dad. Mollie was my step-nan, Malcolm's 2nd wife, who he married in 1946 in Yorkshire - Mollie's family owned a firelighting business. Malcolm's first wife, Ida Maclean born 1901, was from Benbecula, and is buried in the lower part of the cemetery in an unmarked grave. Nanny Ida died of birth complications on 28/10/1931 a day after my father was born, in Ardvasar, in the red houses (now ruins). The Kennedy's ran the shop until early 1990s and lived at Rosemount until Mollie moved out in 1992 and Lord Macdonald sold the house to private buyers.
