Near this spot/is buried/CATHERINE BETHUNE/of Tarskavaig/born 1750, died 1795/wife of/DANIEL KELLY/of Capistol/born 1725, died 1819/DANIEL and nine children/emigrated to Moore County, North Carolina/in 1803/leaving their son in Skye. Erected by her Skye and Carolina descendants/in 1995 on the 200th anniversary of her death.
