Flora was the sister of John Macfarlane, a soldier who died in the Great War, who featured on the BBC programme Skye's Band of Brothers April 2014.Daughter of Thomas Macfarlane and Effie.

Flora was a nurse, James Marchinton a soldier in the tank battalion. He originated from Sheffield where they both lived after their marriage, and where they died. I am trying to trace descendants.
