Sartle Burial Ground
Sartle Burial Ground is next to the minor road, which crosses the Trotternish peninsula between Brogaig (Staffin) and Uig.
Further up the road is a modern cemetery, Cill a'Bhealaich, which has no pre-1979 inscriptions.
The wonderful landscape of the Trotternish escarpment gives a fine backdrop to this part of Skye.

Comments
If anyone is in the area, it would be wonderful if someone could look to see if there is a headstone for my 4th great grandfather, Hugh Maclean. He was born 1780, died 1855. His parents were John Maclean, and Winifred Macdonald. His 2 wives were Mary Maclean then Margaret Gordon. His children were DOnald, Mary, Anne, John (1), Malcolm, John (2), Janet, Angus and Alexander.
