Hi Roddie, While doing some research into my great-grandfather, John McIntyre, from Teangue, Sleat, I found that he had been Captain of Colonel Kemble's yacht, Mavis, at one time. When checking out details about Colonel Kemble I came across the following Probate notice on Ancestry for his wife, Kythe Agatha Kemble. According to the Probate notice (and other information) it seems that her date of death was actually 28 March 1951 at Torvaig. I can't copy the Probate notice onto this section, but if you would like to check it, you can either look on Ancestry or I can email a copy of it to you. It makes sense too, as Kythe's name and details come after her husband's on the headstone. Many thanks for all the work you are doing. Very interesting!

Thanks for that Ishbel, I'll amend accordingly. Interesting that your gtgfather was involved with yachts. Some of my Macpherson relatives were also in that activity, including steam yachts.
