Mar chuimheachan air IAIN MACACIDH 1767-1848, a eilean Ratharaidh an sar phiòbaire mu dheireadh a/fhuair oideachas bho chlann Mhicruimein. Na latha/cha robh piòbaire fear sgriòbhaidh ciùil no/teach-teagaisg dhe leithid. Tre ealantachd a/cheatrar mhac agus oileanaich tha a ceòl sònraichte/seo air a thaibhairst tharis gu curainach do/phriòmh phiobairean an latha n diugh.



This plaque commemorates/JOHN MACKAY of Raasay 176-1848/the last great piper to have has lessons from/tyhe MacCRIMMONS.  He was the best player composer and/teacher of his day; and through his expert pupils/JOHN Ban MACKENZIE, ANGUS McPHERSON, DONALD CAMERON/and his four sons/the playing of the great music/was carried forward faithfully to all the top pipers/of the present day.
