Marion (Macleod) & John Matheson & family.

In loving memory of/MARION MACLEOD/dearly beloved wife of/JOHN MATHESON/and our devoted mother/who died at Bernisdale/on 4th November 1964/aged 80 years/also my dear son/and our beloved brother/DONALD MACLEOD/MATHESON/who died 21st September 1970/aged 45 years/our dearly beloved father/and grandfather/JOHN MATHESON/who died at Bernisdale/on 4th May 1978, aged 91 years.

I am so impressed with the headstone site - so many of my ancestors and families are buried on Skye whilst so many are here in Australia, as well as Canada and New Zealand. I have Matheson, McLeod, Nicholson, MacLean of Raasay and Skye. I'll have to check the details for the above headstone but feel it is my great uncle John, father of Annie Montgomery nee Matheson.

A beautiful headstone and so clear. Marion and John snr. were the parents of Annie (Matheson) Montgomery and the grandparents of Iain Matheson Montgomery of Bernisdale.
