Anne (Macdonald) Martin.


Beneath this stone/raised by the love and friendship/of a sorrowful husband/DONALD MARTIN/minister at Kilmuir/slumber the mortal remains of/ANNE MACDONALD/who through a short life of thirty years/served with unwarted assiduity/the interest of Christ and of the poor.



She died on the 11th December 1803/deplored by her children/parents and numerous friends.

Reverend Donald Martin died in Inverness. His will is held in the Elgin Sheriff Court Wills, Reference SC 26/38/4. It can be found at Scotland's People for a small cost.

Her daughter Ann MacNiel Martin is buried in this cemetery. She died on ^ Jul 1860 in Inverary.
