Hello Robyn

Have you looked at Scotlandspeople website? Clow is an uncommon name in the Highlands. In Skye they were concentrated in Snizort parish (eg. 1841 census).

Hi Roddie,
I'm in Australia so only have places on certificates. Some just say Scotland or Isle of Skye but grandaughter Barbaras birth in 1846 says Snizort.

I'll contact you direct, Robyn

Robyn, my husband is also descended from their son Henry, through his daughter Christy Ann.

Hello Alison, I am also from Christy Ann and John McDonald. Then Barbara McDonald and Duncan McLachlan. Their daughter Mary McLachlan and William Pigg-Thompson. Their son Leslie Thompson and Matilda Lowe. They had my dad.
Hello cousin

Hello cousin :-D We aim to see this gravestone in early May. We've also booked dinner at the Monkstadt 1745 restaurant but missed out on accommodation there. We'll be staying near Uig instead. We think John lived in Monkstadt and Christy Ann lived in Uig at the time of their marriage. Are you on Ancestry or one of the other DNA sites? The Clow relatives seem easier to trace than the MacDonalds - too many John MacDonalds. ;-)

Good to see connections being made, which was one of the purposes of the website.

Can you please conduct future personal communication direct with each other rather than via the website. Thank you
