Catherine & Isabel Murchison.


In loving memory of/CATHERINE MURCHISON/who died on 10th May 1972/aged 82 years/beloved sister of/ISABEL MURCHISON/who died on 12th December 1998/aged 98 years.

Catherine and Ishbel Murchison were my great aunts, from Kensaleyre. They had two brothers Donald and John who were killed within two weeks of each other in Arras in 1917, a brother Peter and my grandfather Donald Archibald who went to live in Cuyahoga County Ohio, met and married my grandmother there. My father Donald John Murchison was born in Lakewood Ohio. The family returned in the mid 1930s. Parents were Peter Murchison from Ramsaig and Catherine Mathieson from Eyre.
