Here repose the mortal remains/od DONALD GRANT/esquire/late of Ulinish/who departed this life the 4th Sept. 182[6?] aged 67 years and of MARGARET BETHUNE his wife/who died on the 3rd of Feb. 1824/aged 66 years.

This monument to their memory/is a tribute of filial love and reverence/and the remembrance/of their honourable virtues and modest worth/which they possessed/is by those who/prized as their just inheritance/and under their irreparable loss/have found it their/chief consolation.

Their younger daughter/JESSIE GRANT/who died 18th Nov. 1868/also lies buried here.
