In loving memory of/DUNCAN MACINTYRE/who died at/Cruachan, Portree/18th May 1927, aged 45 years/his wife/ISABELLA ROSS FRASER/who died at/Cruachan, Portree/18th October 1941/aged 57 years/[their son/Dr IAIN D./F.R.C.S.  F.R.C.O.G./died 4th Aug. 1994 aged 79 years/his wife ANN/died 23rd Aug. 1967 aged 50 years/both in Canada.

The first degree mentioned on the stone is F.R.C.S. Dr Iain Donald Macintyre had graduated M.B. ChB from Glasgow University in 1940 and, after war service,
emigrated to Canada. From 1967 until 1972, he was chief of obstetrics and gynaecology at Sarnia General Hospital, Ontario and retired in September 1985.
