To the memory/of/DONALD LEWIS MACKINNON/fourth son of/the Rev. DONALD MACKINNON/and EMMA FLORA his wife/born at Kilbride 3 March 1863/died at Calcutta, India 2 Feby 1888/at the early age of 24.
Most truly loved and deeply mourned.

Reference his date of birth as 3 March 1869. According to the MacLeod Genealogy he was born 3 March 1863. Believe the year of 1863 is correct, as he was aged 24 when he died in 1888.
